Lisa Bradford Obituary, Aldie VA Shooting: 54-Year-Old Woman Killed in Fatal Willowsford Home Shooting

Lisa Bradford, 54, was fatally shot inside her home near Willowsford, Virginia, on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 22, 2026, in what authorities are investigating as a domestic incident.

Loudoun County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call reporting that Bradford had been shot by her husband, Roger Paul Bradford, 60. Deputies arrived at the residence and found Lisa Bradford deceased.

According to Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman, Roger Bradford contacted a relative after the shooting before leaving the area in a rental vehicle. Authorities began an hours-long search for him and later located the vehicle and Bradford in Bedford, Pennsylvania, at about 3:15 p.m.

Pennsylvania State Police took Bradford into custody, and he is being held in Pennsylvania while extradition proceedings to Loudoun County move forward.

Charges Filed

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has charged Roger Bradford with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Sheriff Chapman said investigators are still in the early stages of the case and described the incident as domestic in nature. He said authorities had not yet determined where Bradford was headed when he left Virginia.

A handgun was reportedly used in the shooting, but Chapman said the weapon had not been recovered as of Tuesday evening.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to establish the full circumstances surrounding Lisa Bradford’s death.

Roger Bradford’s charges are allegations, and the case will proceed through the court system.
